My mom is a bargain shopper. Growing up, she clipped coupons and always knew what was on sale at which stores. She would buy ANYTHING if it was on sale, even clothes for future grandchildren. Just ask my dad. He tries to give away shampoo and Yankee Candles to visitors as parting gifts. I’ve learned a lot from my mom and at least I can tell my husband that I come by it honestly when he sees our credit card bill. Oops!

So, here we are in 2014 with this fancy Internet thingy where people (well, websites really) will actually PAY YOU TO SHOP.

It’s true. It’s called Ebates and it is fantastic and super easy. All you have to do is create an account and then every time you shop online visit Ebates first. Find your store, click a link and go about your shopping. Since joining in 2011, I have received $271.35 back from Ebates. I’ve received a paper check from them in the past, but typically opt to get my rebate in the form of Amazon gift card.  (see above)
